Earliest Roller motor?

When did the manufacturers start making the roller cam motors?

Mass production for Chevy small blocks was 1987. Can you be a little more specific on what you are asking for?

Figured it was something untraditional. Yeah, there is lots of early versions of great technology. I love all of the early forced induction examples.

The roller cam follower was invented in the late 30's (Thomas Robinson) more for industrial use, I think not 100% sure that Cummins was the first to use it in a engine application.

I'm pretty sure the Mustangs went Roller in 1985 along with factory Holley carbs. Then the EFI came in 1986 for them. That's the year they started gettin' really fast and troublesome!
