Re: finding the build/broadcast sheet for 69 chevelle
Kansas built 69 Chevelles that were assembled very late in the model year used the later style (usually seen in 70 and up) build sheets. Kansas cars built earlier in the model year used the older style Body Broadcast and Chassis Broadcast sheets. It was not uncommon to find the Body Broadcast sheets stuck on the inside of the front fenders....my car had one on each front fender. The Chassis Broadcast sheets, if found, were generally somewhere in the interior....in the seat springs, under the carpet, up in the dashboard area.

Re: finding the build/broadcast sheet for 69 chevelle
Looks like the dash & the fenders are the last places to look. I've looked on top of gas tank, inside door & quarter decor panel, under seats, under carpets. I have the born with motor for this L78 car. I was just hoping to find more. It was born June 1969......Thanks, Joe

My Framingham Chevelle also had evidence of buildsheets located in the seat backs of the front buckets. You may want to check the front seats thoroughly.

Re: finding the build/broadcast sheet for 69 chevelle
My Jan 69 Kansas Chevelle had nothing in the seat backs of its bucket seats.
Joe, With your car being a June build, it probably depends what part of June it was built as to which type of build sheet it would have had.....the early June cars had the older type, the very late June cars seemed to have the newer type. In between.....who knows. |
