Jim:

Who restored your wheels and how much did it cost you?

Re: International Dragmaster?????

I did it myself...Fine sand blasted the spokes and polished the rim myself.

I actually use the rear axle on the car as my lathe...jack it up ..bolt the wheel on [no tire] make sure everything is safe...jack stands, blocked front wheels, Tailpipe vented out the door.. Then I use sandpaper first , then a die grinder with a buffing wheel on and different compounds. One set I actually finished with 180 grit sand paper to give it a machined look.

I personally can't get aluminum to polish up like 'chrome' I can get it pretty good but the pros do better.I don't know what I'm doing wrong but...

I've done two sets of Hurst wheels, just the spokes...one set I did myself with a die grinder. Probably 4-5 hours a wheel...second set I set out to magmasters...way nicer job. Here are before/after on the Dragmasters...I don't have the correct international center caps..I have Americans and ET ovals...Someday I'll find the right ones...I think I saw 'em someplace... http://www.classicperformance.com/eb...ragmaster1.jpg http://www.classicperformance.com/eb...ragmaster2.jpg http://www.classicperformance.com/eb...ragmaster3.jpg
