Trunk spatter for 69 Nova
I've been trying to decide whether to repaint the 69 Nova trunk spatter paint. It has the original paint now, and it's in fairly good shape, but I guess I threw the originality of this car out the window, so............. I thought I'd compare the original paint on the 69 Nova trunk drain covers, to the Onyx-Black Zolatone that I sprayed in my 68 Chevelle, a number of yrs ago. It's about as close as you're gonna get with the colors, and the glossiness, which is basically flat/no shine at all.
Here's a shot of the original 69 Nova spatter paint drain cover, sitting on the Zolatone trunk paint. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps6a4eef14.jpg |

You won't believe this but I've sprayed commercial grade Zolatone or Polomix on my powder room walls!

Bill,
If it's still in good shape i would leave alone. At least there will be something still original to the car. |
