We had an absolutely outstanding day for the shoot last Tuesday. Kaliah is somewhat new to the modeling thing, and she was fantastic. Al Rogers/Freeze Frame Image, LLC, our Official MCACN Photographer, was able to work with her to create a perfect comfort level, and before long, she was posing like a pro.
The weather was nice and cool, and although we did have to contend with some wind, Al says that it actually worked well for the photos, adding a cool and lively element to the shoot. Jeff Stolowski brought out the Great American Muscle Car Giveaway car down from Traverse City and Jeff Thorpe, who introduced us to Kaliah, both helped out to make it a really perfect day. These shots are ones that I took while Al and Kaliah were hard at work. All I can say is Al's results have once again allowed us to maintain our desire to "raise the bar" for MCACN! Kaliah will be at the show, signing posters and assisting with our unveilings and other activities. Thanks go out to Al, Jeff S., Jeff T., Kaliah and her brother for making this one fantastic shoot. The results will speak for themselves! Our new MCACN 64 page all color magazine will be out in early August at the shows we attend and for all who are on our mailing list, sent out in October. AND, while I have your attention;
The pictured car is the car that will be given away to a lucky person who purchases a $10 raffle ticket. 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales go directly to the March of Dimes, a great cause. Jeff Stolowski and his wife Johanna have funded this and have donated the car, (as in signed off the title to The March of Dimes) out of thier own pocket. It IS a real documented 1970 Olds Rally 350, complete with -- date plate and docs, NOT a clone or made up bucket of bolts. We will be announcing the winner Saturday night, November 23 right at MCACN, where the car will be on display all weekend. Right after the announcement of the winner, we will be unveiling the 2014 Great American Muscle Car Giveaway car, which is being restored right now. Jeff and JoHanna are incredible people who are planning on doing this at MCACN every year from here on. You may remember Jeff as the owner of the REAL 1970 Olds Indy 500 Pace car, as seen on the cover and in a two-part feature in Hemmings Muscle Machines last year. This is his way of "paying back" the hobby he loves so much, and we are honored to be able to be a part of this outstanding program.
