Re: 1969 Pace Car
Matt, can you let me know more information? There is a local Pacer I'm considering and curious to see what your buddy's find is about. PM me?
Thanks, Dan |

Well the tag is original...

Re: 1969 Pace Car
I agree with Steve that the TT itself looks to be real. But check the stampings on the brake hold-off valve and see if it jives with the build date of the car. I understand that some cars never came with them but worth a look. Also, was the original Orange Houndstooth interior always with the car if any? Is it safe to say that there were ink-stamped dates on the backside of the door panels?

Re: 1969 Pace Car
To me the car looks like it has been stripped down to bare metal, If you look at the cowl you can see some original orange paint from the stripes, Tail panel looks to have original white paint on it, Has white top 12 bolt front discs deluxe door panels which could have been changed to black when the seats where changed, Steering wheel is correct car has a tilt wheel. Trim tag is solid, Rivets are correct I would say its a pace car but more pictures would help out.

He's gonna be way upside down in that car and still not gonna be a numbers car!

Re: 1969 Pace Car
True it will never be a good financial investment, but perhaps a fun project and a stress reliever.
