All Chevy II and Acadian L79s came standard with a 3 speed standard on the column. Yes, there are some. The 4 speed was an option. None of them had PGs. They were all 12 bolt. Bob |

~ Pete I asked GM Canada many years ago about 1967 L79 Acadians. They have no record of any being built. There were 63 L79 Acadians built in 1966. There's also no record of any 1968-1970 big block Acadians being imported for sale in Canada. And you're right, 1962-1971 Acadians are not Pontiacs, even though GM Canada documents them as such. When the Acadian came out in 1962, all the Pontiac-Buick dealers in Canada got new signs saying Pontiac-Buick-Acadian. The Acadian was a stand alone model. Bob </div></div> |
Re: 1967 Rare Pontiac Nova - Arcadian
Was there a floor-shifted 3-speed available?

Re: 1967 Rare Pontiac Nova - Arcadian
I know that Tom Migut once parted out a factory 1966 3-speed L-79 Chevy II. I believe it was a column shift 3-speed.
