Aftermarket temp gauge sender. Where?

Putting some vintage SW gauges in my 69 Z. I want to keep the idiot lights.
I can put a sender in the intake manifold right by the Tstat. I am thinking it would look a little cleaner to put it in the pass side cylinder head almost out of sight.

What do you guys do when installing aftermarket temp gauge?

All depends on personal preference. I like the idea of placing it in the cylinder head---kinda outta sight outta mind. But I've also had it upfront in the intake manifold in previous cars. You may or may not get a more accurate temperature reading here.
