Possible 69 Z/28
 

Hello,

I got this VIN off of a car that has Z/28 badging and a cowl hood. Does anyone know how I can research the VIN before I go any further? The property was not welcome to visitors so I snapped a pic and got out of there.. If it's worth further investigation,I'll figure out how to approach the home owner.

This is my first post so be gentle! I was able to to meet some of you at the SLS 6 last week.

The vin won't tell you anything except that it's a V8 coupe built in California. You'll need the cowl tag data.

Ok. Thanks. I'll see if I can get permission first. The hood was popped but I didn't take a look.

There is no build configuration data on LA body tags.

If the OE engine is gone and there is no factory or dealership paperwork available someone knowledgeable would have to examine the car.

The car is early built, originally would have had a flat hood.

Thanks everyone. I found the car owner.. belongs to his father. Car is not for sale. I didn't ask for anymore details. Back to the drawing board.
