Parts ID help needed

I found this in a box marked 69 Camaro parts. It looks like a hood latch support? I don't know what it fits.Can someone help me identify this part? Thanks in advance.

Looks like a front bumper support bracket? It has ridges in it like a bumper bracket. Valance bracket?

Its a 1978 Camaro hood latch support part number 14006369.Shown in this ebay ad http://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-1979-1980-1...d06&vxp=mtr . Clint
