pics from a survivor w30

I am cleaning up some pictures in my storage account, and these are from a 71 survivor w30 convert I was going to buy some time back. I just could not pull the trigger on an automatic, probably a mistake, but it was mine to make.
I am deleting them soon, thought someone may help those into survivors. I have more pictures on another computer if one wanted. Car has changed hands, so dont ask where it is. I am sure it will show up soon or already has.

You can see the top of the original (seldom seen) heater control valve. The burning question though is what was the asking price??

It went for under $100K. Nicely documented. Had air which I think was pretty rare.

I don't think AC is rare on these cars - what do you think, Jason?

This goes back years, since I could have bought that car, but for some reason I thought it was around 10 out of the 110 built, but that is a guess now.

A / C was certainly not on all of them, but it was more than 10.

There's some car floating around where they say 10 but I bet there's more than 10 existing. 10 out of 78 seems too low from what I've seen.

Re: pics from a survivor w30

I ordered a 69' W-30 442 (Black w/white interior and gold stripes) while in Vietnam. It had 3.91 gear, 400TH and no AC. My wife and brother picked it up at Bob White Olds in Green Bay, Wi. By the time I got back stateside, my wife and brother claimed to have raced a number of times in the Shawano area -- it never got beat!

What memories -- The TAZ
