What is this?
The fuel lines on a 1970 Buick run to this and it is mounted behind the back seat and in front of the gas tank. I am counting on postsedan to have the answer! Don't let me down Dan.

Re: What is this?
Evaporative emissions canister. The various fuel vapor lines run to it from the tank and from the front of the engine compartment. The condensed vapors then trickle back into the tank as fuel. My Firebirds have the same contraption

Re: What is this?
1971 and up used them. Most GM cars had a similar version of the same contraption.

Re: What is this?
More importantly Dan, what are you doing with A '70 Buick???

Re: What is this?
Dan,
California emissions only - Fremont Built Buick GS had a special only gas tank. Spectra does make this gas tank if you need one. You can order one directly through your local Napa store. See you at MCACN Dan |
