----Frank,,,Im not sure what you are looking for. The "Eleanor" thing came along with the movies. Shelby or Ford never built a model named "Eleanor". Now, if you want to know strictly how many GT 500 fastbacks were produced by a factory (either Shelby or Ford) in a particular color, you should be able to get an answer to that from any Shelby sight, and its entirely possible someone on this sight can also answer your question. Hope this help.....Bill S

Sidepipes? No '67 or '68 Shelby GT500 had factory-installed sidepipes.

I'm sorry but it did not come from the movie, because I own one and it actually states Eleanor on the title. I am contacting Shelby and Shelby America and the are gonna give me an answer cause their gonna try to pull records for from the early eighties. I had several Shelbys then and purchased parts and even had a 350 hertz restored with Carol over looking the project (I knew him).... I'm not trying to be a smart alec, I just thought might know while I had you on the site, it's ok though, there is always a little bit of confusion with some cars from the sixties.......thank you for your response

----Frank,,,No malice intended. Im willing to learn exactly what you are talking about. My cousin owned serial # 3003 427 Cobra comp car as well as a supercharged 67 427 Shelby, and as I hung around with him a lot so Im not totally out of the loop. I always know, though, that I can learn something new every day, even at 67 years old......Bill S

It's alright ,I'm personally trying to remember myself, and soon when I get documents and paper work back ,I will be more than happy to share any info on any of my cars with everybody...... I will tell you one thing, back in the day I knew a celebrity who had a Eleanor, and in those days we use to meet up at a few car shows that were put on in the memory of famous people like Thurmond Munson, his was silver, but he had purchased at that time the nicest black super snake that anyone had seen, it pops up now in then in photos but what people don't know is the name of the celebrity is John Bon Jovi....other celebrities as well like one of the guys from the group "eagles" had Eleanor's too, they were very hot in the early eighties to have

There's no such thing as a Carroll Shelby built 1967 or 1968 Mustang Eleanor that was built in the 1960's, 1970's, or 1980's. There wasn't any "Eleanor" Mustangs built until the movie in 2000.
