Some Motion swag of my own.
I finally found a bunch of my old papers. Back in the day the owner of my 73 Camaro bought a mirrored dash cluster insert. When I bought the car in 1988,he gave me the receipt. It isn't anything crazy, but it is my own little piece of Motion performance.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pswb7ygpro.jpg It still shines up nice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psfc52b1b6.jpg Back when I bought the car in 1989. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...einterior9.jpg |
Re: Some Motion swag of my own.

Re: Some Motion swag of my own.
Haha. The rest of the car is my daily driver. It started life as a plain Jane 307/th350/2.73 posi/F41 suspention car. It now has a 400 HP 400 small block, the same th-350,and it had 3.90's but I swapped in some 3.08's. I am building a good 200r4 for it so that I can put the 3.90's back in. I tubbed the car out back in the day,and un-tubbed the car using a clip from a 79,so now I need to put all the sheet metal and trunk floor back to a 1973.

The "born with" 307 in 1989

I call this my street racer special setup. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ircleaner6.jpg |

Just part of what I have to fix the rear clip. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../quarters2.jpg Summer of 92. This is what happens when a 21 year old kid with big dreams and a bunch of cut off wheels gets in over his head. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../tubbed732.jpg BTW,this IS NOT a Motion car and has nothing to do with the invoice in my other tread. It just has my little piece of Motion performance on it. |
Re: Some Motion swag of my own.
Unfortunately,I had a little set back last month. Driving to work in a sleepy stupor, there was a little mishap.
I rounded up all the parts to fix it,but just need some time. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps8tqs1pkc.jpg |
Re: Some Motion swag of my own.
After over 26 years,I am finally happy with the way it looks under the hood. The Motion "Street racer special" package ain't got nuthin on me. I would tell you how fast it is but I would have to kill ya. :-)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pskqycyp5d.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pswgapyseb.jpg I am debating if I should hold out for the correct "long" L-88 hood,or just go with what I have. I already have 2 quarts of base ready to respray the front clip after the damage,so I might just make the leap. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps9995273f.jpg |
Re: Some Motion swag of my own.
LOL, it's the Camaro cousin to my Gramma's 75 Firebird Esprit. Even the sleeper engine replacement! And the color!
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthrea...ojec#Post632706 Go with the L/88 hood. I love that style. |
Re: Some Motion swag of my own.
