Help/Info old drag car Johnson Chevrolet Dallas

Does anyone know if Johnson Chevrolet in Dallas, TX ever raced 68 Camaros, did 427 swaps, or had any affiliation with any of the dealers doing 427 swaps in camaros? From my research Delmo Johsnon was a corvette racer and a gm "special" dealer that got preproduction parts, engines, and such before they were actually available. Found an old 68 camaro ex drag race car. It was butternut yellow black vinyl top built in Los Angeles and delivered to Johnson Chevrolet. From what is there I know it was born a 396 4 speed car has big block mounts, bb heater box, brake valve on the frame rail, and black tailpan paint under all the other layers of paint. It was a manual steer power disc brake car with radio delete and no console. It has several additions that were made years ago like larger sway bar, gears were swapped to 4.10's, battery relocated to trunk, traction bar setup added, remnants of old school vintage electronics and transistorized ignition, and most peculiar a metal plate that went from the center dash down to the floor with a full old school stewart warner gauge set. The plate is woodgrained to match the center dash and has black rounded side pieces to trim it out. Along with this car was found a 427 with no vin or two digit code that predates the car 4 months. Any info or help would be appreciated.
