Re: Fire destroys cool place
A good friend of mine Mike Bell had a similar fire 2 years ago that destroyed 10 of his cars and all his signs and memorabilia. The building was the only thing he had insured unfortunately and has since been rebuilt. He has also started to rebuild his collection, this time insured. It was later determined to have been started by a lightning strike.

Re: Fire destroys cool place
Actually visited Fred's and admired his oil can collection few years back.
What was unusual was to see twine running from ceiling to floor holding the cans in place, preventing them from falling off the shelves in the event of an earthquake. |
Re: Fire destroys cool place
Profound sadness at this man's loss and a community loss as well. A lifetime of work lost.
