1970 Chevelle 10 bolt posi and front disc brakes
Hi guys,
Not sure I am posting to the right section, but I have a couple questions regarding some parts I am selling. 1970 Chevelle 10-bolt 3.36 positraction rear end, larger 8.5 inch ring gear. I listed it on Craigslist in Seattle for $550. Is that a fair price or should it be more??? Friend tells me more, but I am not sure. Has sat for years. 1970 complete front suspension with disc brakes. Stripped it all and scrapped the frame. Listed on Craigslist for $200??? I'm in the Seattle area if anyone wants this stuff as I don't want to hassle with shipping such heavy, bulky stuff. Thanks, Paul https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47979-004.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47980-001.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47981-002.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47982-003.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47983-005.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-47984-006.jpg |
Re: 1970 Chevelle 10 bolt posi and front disc brakes
Looks like an 8.2 rear to me and the numbers confirm it. I would value the 8.5 higher, but since you have the 8.2- your price is fair.

pxtx is correct, Chevy didnt use 8.5 in A-body till 73. 71 in Camaro and I think 72 in Nova only A-body that had 8.5 were 71-72 Cutlass & Skylarks a nice upgrade to the 8.2 bolt in non tapered axles the chevys used C-clips and tapered axles
I think your prices are in line |
