Spray can restoration of Rally wheels

I have American Racing wheels on my 1969 Corvette but, also have the original Rally wheels here in the garage. I don't have access to a sandblaster or spray booth and was wondering if it's possible to restore these wheels at home using some elbow grease and spray paint?

Sam I'm not sure what your question is. Maybe why put them back on? I just want them restored in the event that I want to put them on for a different look. I took my car to a show in New Hope in September and immediately lost 10 points for having the aftermarket rims on the car. While I am not a huge car show guy I would like to put my best foot forward when I do go.

Dave, I would have them blasted by a professional company. Just about any wheel straightening service has a media blasting cabinet. Maybe a member here with a cabinet will let you use it for a couple hours for a case of beer or AmEx gift card [just throwing ideas out there]. Good luck and keep us posted on the progress. Dan

x2 - especially if they have any significant rust on them. If you can't find someone with a cabinet to borrow, look for an industrial painting company as they usually have that capability, I have one local to me that I have used just to blast steel wheels, then I paint them with a spray can at home and it looks pretty good.
