Dry Ice Blasting undercoat removal
I guess I can’t put this off any longer; I have been looking into the Easiest and Cleanest Way to remove the undercoat from my car. When they undercoated the car at the dealership they hammered it on as if they were paving their driveway. It is THICK. The good news is the floors look brand new under all that crap. Someone recently told me about dry ice blasting that should make quick work of removing it. Has anyone heard of or tried this process? Thanks....

Re: Dry Ice Blasting undercoat removal
I have contracted dry ice blasting several times at work. It is tremendous and mess free other than the particulate that falls down.
I quoted having this done to the underside of my car, and researched and watched lots of videos, Inevennconsidered renting a diesel powered compressor and CO2 blast set up....... I chose to wire wheel each inch of the underside and it is working but the suck meter is pegged!!!! I am very interested to see it used (keep me in the loop) Ryan |
