There are tons of those boat ramp follies on U-Tube. With all the new features automakers are putting on new cars that we don't need, why don't they invent parking brakes for the FRONT wheels? Should be standard equipment if you buy the towing package.

Verne
Keep in mind that allot of the new safety stuff on these new rides are much needed now and more so in the future so a certain number of morons can safely drive and play with there phone.

I certainly do agree Mike. I can't wait for all the autonomous cars to be on the road. I'd never want to drive one, but it sure will be safer for me to "drive" my cars.

Re: Poor guy lost his brand new 2016 Silverado

I have been on that very ramp hundreds of times, there is no way that truck and trailer slid that far into the water on just the slime. Look at the ramp above the water line, no slime there at all which is where the rear tires would be when launching a boat. I am thinking there is operator error involved somehow. Still a shame to loose a truck like that, wonder if the motor was running when it went under?
