Talladega

I don't really know anything about the '69 Talladegas. I was hoping to get some guidance here on whether they are still desirable and/or collectible? It has the original drivetrain with a Marti Report but does needs work.
Thanks,
Al in Maine

Y'know there's a subforum here for Brand X? :scholar:

Anyway, look on eBay to see some past auctions. Sure, they're rare, but they're desirable and pop up from time to time.

The problem with them is that you're limited to three colors, one interior, and column automatic.

A good site to check out is torinocobra.com.

Sorry but I saw where it said "this forum is for general discussion about Supercars and/or Musclecars." I figured it was OK to post here.

I forgot to mention that I did check eBay ads past and present and found no Talladegas.

I'm not the arbiter of the rules – I'm just showing you may get a better response in one of the other rooms.

Thanks for the link. I did see that this car was a '69 390 Torino.

Car is a Talladega per the description, and the Q-code in the VIN is proper for a T-car.

I just saw that this was a 390 4-speed. If I'm not mistaken, all Talladegas came with 428s and automatics. Could be wrong though.

"Has 390 bottom , 428 cj heads(roller rockers)...." shows what the car has now.

The VIN will show how the car was originally equipped. I am not into these cars, but I think the VIN will be conventional for a Q-code Fairlane Cobra fastback built at one particular plant, but the DSO will probably have six digits, which is something that is usually related to special builds and special orders.

Correct! Q-code 428 CJ, C6 auto and bench seat. As you can see from the brochure below the Talladega came as a complete car including a radio. The only option was the color (3 offered):
