5,603-mi '70 Chevelle LS5
Not sure I buy the mileage claim...I'd rather have the black-on-red car that Mike Kaiser was selling for $45k.
Believe this one was sold at the same dealer as Donnie Cornelis' '69 L78 Chevelle. Link to 1970 Chevelle SS454 5603 Miles https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/-nYAA...N~/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/NPoAA...Us/s-l1600.jpg |
Is this the same car that was pictured in the collapsed barn awhile back?
|
I don't think so...IIRC that one was Fathom Blue.

Although it has its original drivetrain and paperwork it is very rough and needs most of its sheet metal replaced. It doesn稚 run and the interior is in poor shape also. I知 not bashing the car and I知 glad it survived, i知 just commenting on what I see. I just feel like for the price he痴 asking all the sheet-metal should be good to the point it is repairable without being replaced including the floors, the engine should run and the items under the hood should be a little more tidy for that price even if it was a 4 speed with cowl induction.
I知 interested in the value of this car because I知 trying to get a grasp on what an unrestored running LS5 car with good documentation and all of its born with parts is worth. So am I out of line thinking that he is quite a bit high on this one? |
I believe the seller is putting too much emphasis on the low mileage which really isn't documented is it.
It looks like a very long term and expensive project to me. |
I think the price is way out of line.

I would say $20K-25k on the high side would be realistic on this car. Neat car with great docs and numbers, but a long term and expensive project.

High but also a great color combo. Grey with a black hat.
Auto does not help. He states in the ad that some of the metal (bolt ons) is "ready" whatever that means but the pics don't reflect that. Also don't know how bad off the engine is. Rich |
Even if the mileage claim was verifiable......so what? It needs everything.
|
Nice color combo.
I'd pay more for an auto with console & buckets as opposed to bench/column. :burnout: |
