AFAIK the stock valve covers won't fit with 1.7 rocker arms. These look just like the stock ones but are a bit taller.

Yes, you will need to remove the drippers if it has them

The 'recessed corner' is not correct for any passenger car.

Did they do that so they could be easily removed without hitting the power brake booster?

On Corvettes, yes.

If your putting these on a 67-68 camaro the spark plug wire loom holder is too far back on the cover to clear the windshield wiper motor. The cover being a bit taller would increase the possibility of the loom holder hitting the wiper motor.

Let me clarify this post. The original poster had received no responses to his question. I did a little research and found that 1.7 rocker arms will hit the bottom of a stock valve cover. The recommendation was to go to a taller "stock looking" cover. I did a simple GOOGLE search and came up with these. I am sure these are not the only ones available.

At least I got you guys responding :haha:

Let the original poster do his research and see what he comes up with.

For the record 1.7:1 is the stock BBC rocker ratio. It's the larger roller rocker body that creates the clearance issue to the drippers.

the valve covers i got has no drippers, i was told that if i used the fel-pro 5/16 gasket they would work
