'68 Chevelle 327/4-sp/12-Bolt Convertible

This one is definitely rough around the edges but I'm curious about the tach dash, what looks to be an original floor shift floorpan, and the 12-bolt rear. Maybe a L79 car? Would an L79 have had the 5500rpm redline in '68?
