Holley 3310 Carb
Would the 3310 Holley be considered a rare carburator. The Holley manual lists it for use for 65 Chevelle 396, 425HP, so in other words the Z16. Here is the situation, I need a replacement secondary bowl for my 4053 and given the fact its a 50 year old carb, patina is very important to me. A fellow car guy is willing to give me the bowl off his 3310 and he is fine if I replace it with a new Holley bowl. I just can not get myself to break up that 3310 especially if its a rare piece. Looking for peoples thoughts on this. Thanks Frank

depends..if an assy line carb..rare..but they have made several versions over the years, you can buy a new one today..it was approved for NHRA i believe as a legal carb, so they have made a ton of them..all about the date code..i prob have 10 lying around and are woth nothing but a core cost..

It would be rare if it was dated for a Z-16. Otherwise, 3310 was probably the most produced replacement number Holley ever sold. Date means everything when it comes to rarity.

A 3310 is probably the most common Holley center float carb out there. A true 65 3310 would have the peanut port bowls on it anyway so they would not interchange with the 4053. You can rob that 3310 without a guilty conscience.
