----It's not often that I'm OK with being 72 F'ing years old, but this is one of them. I have all the earlier cars I need to last me the rest of my life without this kind of intrusion. And,,,I can find good earlier cars to replace any I need to if problems arise...….Bill S

they have been doing that since at least 2012 maybe longer. but you can turn it off.

You used to be able to remove your phone battery too.... I don't think you can really turn anything off anymore.
