Filter Pre-Foam element
 

My car uses a 542, factory it had a black foam element around, I found a nOS years ago, recently I open it to look, good thing, what a mess. The foam is completely disintegrated. I had to use air to blow out the filter.
Are these foam elements re popped? Anyone ever found any ?

I bought an AC delco complete foam band and paper filter element for my 68 GTO with HD air cleaner option 10 years ago from the Chevrolet Dealership.

Did it fall apart. In 15 years the foam went to dust.

I need to check it...
