Help with decoding 327 please
I pulled a 327 out of my 55 Chevy today and any help with these numbers would be great. Block is 3782870. By distributor is B34. Front tab 4111506 F02IIRD. Intake is 3799349

3782870 is a 327 from 1962 to 1965 3799349 manifold is 1962 -1964 cast iron 300hp RD on the stamp pad is 1962- 1964 300hp manual trans

Verne's right and it'd be nice to find the original Vette if it exists also it's still valuable for another '64 w/ missing lump. No hits Googling the Vins now but best hope is anyone out there w/ the car searching the Vin lands here. 40837S111506 40867S111506 :beers: ~ Pete . |
would be cool to see it reunite with it's original Vette , but sounds like the perfect Motor to have in the 55

I have a 66 HE coded 327 here with it's matching 4 speed that my father bought complete around 1972 with very low miles on it. Still runs perfectly. I often wondered if the vette was still out there. |
