PS Steering Box Mounting Bolt Marking 68 Camaro

2 Attachment(s)
I did not see any markings on the three mounting bolts nor have I seen any on other cars, but upon cleaning of my bolts and running them thru the blast cabinet I saw this yellow dab. Does anyone know if this is an intentional mark that they have seen used? May Norwood.

Thanks,

Bill

Very common [] rectangle or as I call it dog bone. Used from 66-ish to well into the 70's

Understood on the bolt head [] marking. I’m still wondering if the yellow paint is supposed to be there. Thanks Rich.

----It looks very much like the yellow that is splashed over the top of the steering box, but I don't know how it would get way over by the head of that bolt. Maybe just a more sloppy application than most?.....Bill S
