----This is the very car I sat in on the showroom floor of Scunzio Chevrolet in 1969. I was looking for a big block 69 Camaro but the price was so far out of whack for a 22 year old dummy like my self that I just laughed. They didn't have any other 69's that I liked and shortly thereafter I found one at a Cape Cod Chevy dealer one town over from home. It was a red 350 horse 4-speed. Black gut with white vinyl top and stripes. Really liked that little bugger......Bill S

Nice story.

I’ve lived in Mass. my whole life. Scuncio was about 1 hr from me. I was 4 in 1969 about 15 years too late lol.

Beautiful ZL-1

----I seem to remember that Scunzio may have taken the ZL1 engine out and put in a 375/396 to sell the car. Am I correct or just braindead as usual?.....Bill S

Wayne and Mike saw that car walking the Scuncio lot (Green if I remember correctly) The only reason they looked closer at it was because Mike caught the price on the window sticker, and wondered why so much for a Camaro. Mike said the engine look funny with a light haze of rust on the unpainted (or underpainted parts if you will) steel manifolds, etc. I do remember Wayne telling me they pulled the engine to sell the car (selling the ZL1 to a drag racer) and transplanting a 375.
