That has to be the most auctioned car of all time

And it started it's auction journey @ Volo Auto Museum some 30 years ago. LOL

Other than being an "older" restoration are there any known issues with this LS6?

----A while after I parted ways with Classic Motors and moved back to Cape Cod, I heard that my old boss had a blue LS6 convertible restored. He had it in a World Of Wheels show or Chevy Vette Fest when finished. I never saw the car but have to wonder if this is the same car. Either one of the two Jakes (senior and junior or maybe Dave) might have a clue......Bill S

Great car and would love to hear what Chris thought of it......

It was found in far Western IL. or Iowa during the late 80's I recall.
An old hound Dog turned the Gram Bros,(Volo Auto Museum) onto it right when Muscle car prices in general were starting to skyrocket, they paid him a few 100,bought the car for a few grand and had it quickly restored & ready for one of their auctions.
I remember hearing the seller was elated to get that amount for this old convertible back then.
News spread quickly throughout the Chicagoland area and I was told Tony Begley was trying to get to the car before they did.Tony was seeing some serious money being realized at his store,(NICAB) Northern Il. Classic Auto Brokers,as were we all.
It was restored very hurriedly & poorly back then, judging by todays standards.I saw it in person at Dana Mecums Boone Co. Fairgrounds auction once, then later on at Danas Arlington Pk. race track auction after that.I think that was in 1997/98?
It's was really making the rounds back then and was featured in many magazines & hard cover books.
I saw it on line recently and can tell many of its overlooked details have been dialed in correctly now.
It's the real deal.

Bill I think the one you might be thinking of has white stripes, white bench seat interior, column auto? At the time of restoration the car had a reported 850 miles on it. Not sure where the car is today. You and I talked about that car with Chris White at MCACN several years ago as I recall.

I still have the poster that was made after the restoration hanging in my office. He also did a Hugger Orange 69 Z at the same time. Dave has that poster in his office. As a recall he had both cars at Chevy Vettefest for sale once completed in the early 90's.

Sorry for the rotated picture...
