69 Camaro 4-speed Back Drive Rod 5773 Versus 5776
Just trying to confirm which lower back drive rod for the 69 Camaro 4-speed is a little longer, the SB 5773 or the BB 5776?
CRG has pics of the BB shift rods versus SB shift rods but no info on lower back drive rods. |
BB 5776 is slightly longer.

The difference isn't much. A bb is offset to the right of course, but is also positioned slightly forward [measured at the rear block surface] compared to a sb.

The BB is shorter. Not by much . I have photos to prove . Had a mint number stamped bb rod and a mint number stamped Sb rod side by side . Always wondered the same question. Can send photos.

Please post the pics. What are the lengths of the BB rod and SB rod. Also exactly what are the points on the rod you're measuring from. Thanks! |
