I have the carb for you. I built this Holley HP 950 for my Copo, it is tuned and fresh. During Covid, I was bored and built both a down leg and an Annular booster 950’s.
This carb is very responsive on the street over a 850 |
I agree with Jake, Eric can fix that.

Eric will dyno test your carb before it goes back to you, then you can get him on the phone while its running to finish off the tuning. You may need to rebush throttle plate tubes, which some rebuilders don't like to, but its a constant vacuum leak if you don't

Carb issues...
Many car issues are difficult...this one is easy. SEND IT TO ERIC.

Before sending the carb off...
With the auto and big cam the rpm's will drop when in gear and the advance can will drop out and the idle suffers greatly. Check your distributor vacuum advance. When the car is in gear what is the vacuum reading? Which advance can do you have in the distributor? IF you run a B28/VC177 advance can (all in at 8" of vacuum) it should stay deployed when in drive and allow the car to idle. |
While Eric does awesome work, you may not want to foot the bill that comes with his masterpieces.
I have the same car and have a good idea what will work. I am not looking to sell one of the carbs I have built, just help out a hobbyist like myself. Feel free to pm me if you need help |
I remember a saying........
"90% of carb problems are ignition related" Otherwise.......I'm an Eric guy too! Tim |
