Wanted used or new 72 Nova SS factory camshaft
I am looking for the correct factory camshaft that came in my California built 72 Nova SS 350 California smog engine. Does anyone have cam spec numbers on this California camshaft?

72 Nova Camshaft...
The L48 350 engine was the only engine available for the 72 SS Nova. Checking my books, they do show 2 cams for that motor. The #3896929 has .390 intake and .410 exhaust.....the other camshaft #340284 has .401 and .410. There are also minor differences in the duration numbers...310/320 vs. 320/334.
Not sure anyone would notice the difference unless it impacts a 'smog check'... Interesting topic... -wilma |
Thanks for this info. I looked on the 72 Nova Heritage info and saw the two different cams used as specified.
