Something I never knew. Camaro got a traction bar on one side, but the Firebird received a pair, one on each side?

Very nice looking parts BTW.

Hi Lynn, Yes 1967 Camaro has 2 versions, Round bar and or Square bar for wheel hop only on Passenger side. The 67 Firebird 400 or High performance cars have 2.

Love them! All I need is a car to put them on! GLWS

I parted out a 67 Firebird 400 years back that only had 1 bar on the pass. side non-posi.
However it had a bracket on the drivers' side for another bar.

I still have the traction bar along with all hardware and those 2 axle brackets I cut off.

Steele has the rubber for them. https://www.steelerubber.com/tractio...per-70-2293-35

Work?

Did the 2 traction bar setup on the Firebirds actually work? The Camaro single square certainly doesn’t.

I believe the 2 bars helped more than just the one, but didn't alleviate the problem. As time and evolution proved, the bars need to be under the springs, or be a ladder configuration, to prevent the spring wind up and release cycle that causes the hopping.
