What Company?

Someone asked me for some help identifying this company's decal, obviously not the Penske one. Looks to me like CONNOLD???, not sure about the "D" but looks like it and don't knwo what letters follow.
Next line looks like: Corvette Racing ????? Pensacola ??? This decal was one a 1969 Corvette ignition shielding Can anyone help or identify this company? Thanks, Paul |
I believe the next letter is another L
The negative area (black) of the O and C are narrow and I would expect the D to have a thin center. The black area represented in the questioned letter is much wider than the center of the O or C. ADDITIONALLY the width of all the letters is the same... if you put a D there the actual character would be wider than any of the other letters in CONNOL Maybe CONNOLLY, but that would still put the first line off center. To make it center justified there really needs to be 3 letters after the first L. |
Maybe its CONNOLLY'S

'
I thought the same and searched Connolly etc yesterday, a few Vette guys but nothing clicked late 60's early 70's era. The centering part makes sense w/ the next lines too so Fla. missing at bottom but last word of middle line after Corvette Racing may be Services/Engines/Machine/Suppliers/Equipment/Parts?:hmmm: Best of luck whatever's up! :beers: ~ Pete . |
Lots of USRRC races in Pensacola featuring Corvettes in the '60s.....and Roger Penske was certainly there.

Name
Still haven’t found anything and I’m usually pretty darn good at researching.!!!!!
If it’s 3 characters perhaps it’s an apostrophe S the last two characters? I tried, Connelly, Connelley, Connelly’s. :( |
Connold's?

Could the word after Corvette Racing = PRODUCTS? Is the first letter of the 3'rd word legible? Best may be check in w/ 'Vette groups/enthusiasts around Pensacola? Here's a link to Miracle Strip Corvettes Club Pensacola, formed in 1967… https://miraclestripcorvette.com/ Keep rockin' and best of luck! :beers: ~ Pete . |
