'67 Shelby GT350, Nice Docs

This car was born Lime Gold, but it's tough to argue with the attractiveness of the white-on-blue paint scheme.

Interesting to see the order docs as well as the window sticker...sold new out of Bartlett Ford in Reno.

----I know the Government didn't like the centered headlights, but personally I love 'em!!!....Bill S

Center headlights are cool. This car is too late to have had them. Change occurred pretty early and this was a pretty late car. Also, not the original fabric on the seats. Very hard to get since I don’t think they make it any longer. I had to get the fabric from the one place on earth that still had some (almost 10 years ago) and then have the covers made by another place. I love the GM stuff but the 67 Shelby is still one of the most beautiful cars, at least in my book, and especially from the rear angle, much like a mid year Vette.

Hi Friends,

If this car was sold and the new owner is a member here; I have an NOS set of dealer license plate frames that might be from the 1967 time period / era:

Cheers, cool car!

Looks like the car is gone.

car is too late for center lights?

My brother and I have fond memories of a 67 GT350 from our high school/college days. Good friend who painted our cars back in the day had one for a daily driver (still owns it). We'd routinely swap cars if he was working on one of ours. Fun cars to drive - we even took it to High School a couple of times and left it in the student lot. Dave can chime in on learning how a locker rear axle works while driving..........

Yes, it’s not even close. There were several changes that occurred early in the production run and the center mounted lights were one of them. They were moved out due to cooling issues, especially on the big block GT-500. Some of the early changes were so soon I’d say a lot on here may not have even seen them before.

I could whip my registry out and get further info but with this car being so late then it’s easy to spot. This is probably the number one thing changed when these cars are restored, outside of the Le Mans stripes being added. VERY few came with the stripes in 67 from the airport.

Anyone else notice the 4 GALLONS of gas on the invoice for $1.20 TOTAL...
I took delivery of a 1968 Honda 350 in the spring of that year. When I left, it was running on reserve tank and there was a gas station right across the street. I put almost 3 gallons in and it about 75 cents.

I did! And see that gas is a little more than twice as expensive now, all things considered, which after 55 years isn’t that crazy…

A 1967 $1 is worth about $8.66 in 2022. So, that means $1.20 then is $10.39 now adjusted for inflation for 4 gallons which is $2.59 a gallon and that’s a little less than half a gallon of 87 around here today. When you consider they likely put in high test it skews it a bit more. Anyway… I’d like to see gas for $2.59 again, which wasn’t that long ago. Hah.
