'69 L88 Corvette Tribute, $550k
Interesting...originally a 390hp 427 car...and restored as an L88. I may be all wet on prices, but $550k feels pretty ambitious. $55k? Now we're talking.

Since when did NCRS start "authenticating" made up cars? Car is an admitted 390HP car, not restored, it's modified...

I’m obviously missing something.

I can assure you that this car has never been on an NCRS judging field.

Also advertised on the Dupont Registry w/ more of the same NCRS lies, click here... https://www.dupontregistry.com/autos...corvette/58961  ~ Pete . |
Maybe a judge authenticated the engine as an original born with l88 engine from another 69 corvette? Car is probably worth $100,000 at the most.
|
That NCRS restored line is used all the time. It is supposed to convey that the car is "ready" for judging.

I don't think there will be a line up at 100K. Its "just another Corvette", nothing special, that someone installed a L88 in. Change the car to a Camaro.. Now say it is advertised as a COPO (knockoff admitted). Would you pay 100K for it?? Just my.02 cents worth.... |
