This article is from July of 1968 and shows what amazing accomplishments. He is a true champion and 62 years an counting in racing and his achievements keep piling up. He single handedly put the Trans Am racing series on the map, by putting together a spectacular team, and never settling or content. And yes this is why I fell in love with the Camaro Z28. He was just turning 31 when this article was published. What an amazing career; racer, businessman, team owner of in just about every segment!!!! Has anyone done it better??? GOAT???

The GOAT for sure! Awesome to see Team Penske as the Porsche factory team this year in the top prototype class, and running both IMSA and WEC. This year we’ll have a Camaro at Le Mans and Penske with Porsche chasing an overall win :beers:

----The things Roger has done for Michigan are way too numerous to list. He is revered here in Mi. I have a really good friend who does a bunch of work for Roger when he isn't building steel buildings. He has built and erected a bunch of the walk over bridges and stands at the races on Belle Isle in Detroit as well as other stuff for years. He has often commented what a good person Roger is!
