Go for it Dave, perfect addition to your fleet and you could knock that out in a couple weeks :naughty:

A friend is in the midst of doing a De Tomaso Mangusta that was rougher than that. - Bill W

Ha! Right, Bill. Would you tow it for me in the 67?:burnout:

I think I’ll pass on this one. Unique for sure though!

Cheers
Dave

Very cool, cars, and now being bringing big $$. The #1 problem of these cars RUST!, big issue with cars that were not preserved from new. Very cool sound with the Cleveland engine

----Panteras were brought to the US by boat. My cousin, Dave, bought a brand new yellow 71 and the undercarrige was covered with rust when I 1st saw it. One year later after being stored in my fathers garage it had rusted completly thru along the upper windshield edge. I could actually stick my finger into the interior. He had me sell it to a friend of mine who owned a restoration/body shop. He apparently fixed it and sold it. I never heard about the car again.....Bill S

Yes, they rust from the inside out. Be very careful getting involved with these cars. The restoration costs I've been aware of normally quadruple. Parts alone are hard to find and $$$$.
Of course, Super Dave would just fab up a whole new frame and not have that issue to deal with.

I used to live in Augusta Ga. The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, was from that area. We used to see him driving a white Pantera around town. The video posted below is supposed to be the one he owned. Not sure where it is now.

I am just finishing up an early 1972 Red Pantera for a good customer, Parts are something else dealing with the people that can supply them. The Viper is an 8.3 Liter V-10 we installed some crazy $5000.00 header kit on. Vipers should have been distributed by Ace Hardware is all I'm sayin!

I recognize that background, I'm past your place nearly every day.

Pantera

Stop in when your in the area when you have time, I'll show you the projects I have going on.

I used to see your red 67 435 Corvette driving in Itasca when we used to go for coffee at the now closed Starbucks. We visit Mark, Marcel and Angie at Wine with me every month to pick up our wine of the month bottle. Neat town, I had a lot of friends who grew up in Itasca. I went to Lake Park High School and lived in Medinah for17 years.
