Super Sport Wheel Trim Ring - which ones should I match up ?

4 Attachment(s)
Recently bought some SS wheels (1969 - 1970 magnum 500 style), two have the YA code and two have the AO code. The fact that they are two different year codes doesn't bother me... but, they came with two different types of trim rings, and this is something I'd like to learn more about.

I have most often seen the trim ring shown in the right side picture. The trim ring shown on the left side picture also appears to be a GM issued part. But, the left side version seems more heavy duty, definitely heavier in weight.

So, as I look to complete a matching set of trim rings, which way should I be looking to go in order to be most "correct" ? Is one version an older version than the other ?

Your thoughts appreciated. Thanks

I have the right-side type ring on my 70 Nova. Not sure if it's OEM factory or NOS. I would like to know also...

Might be a difference in ma22519452 nufactur date. The one with fingers all the way around is 14x7 matches my part number 22519452 ones.

Here is an interested paragraph: https://www.camarocentral.com/1969_1...p/22519452.htm

Follow-up

Found this active Bay listing and the seller has listed "born with Chevelle" type trim rings. These appear to match the "different" type trim rings that I picked up and had previously posted pictures of.

I am now assuming they are a legitimate older version GM trim ring. Guess we need a Chevelle expert to weigh in with their opinions. Thanks
