1967 Chevelle Fan Shroud
I'm looking to install a fan shourd on my factory 327, 4-Speed Chevelle. In my hunt, I'm finding metal and plastic versions, but can't figure out which is correct for my car.
I've had the car since 1985, and it's never had a shourd on it, so I don't know what was there originally. Any help is appreciated. Blair |

If it has any of those options, it may have a plastic shroud, or a steel shroud, even though the parts books would indicate it should be plastic. L79 muddies it even further. Perhaps the answer is buried deep in the ECL codes?? Also, the plastic shroud part number changed mid '67. Most plastic shrouds I have seen were on, but not limited to, '66 283 with A.I.R. I have '67 Chevelles in my garage that dispute the parts book. Sorry for the ramble, Maybe pix of you Malibu?? - Bill W |
Thanks. It's an L30, Saginaw, 12 bolt car. No AIR, or A/C.
Was thinking steel and that's why they chucked it early in life. Now I'de like it back to help the car cool little better. Blair |
What's the trim tag date of your car? The 67 L30/M20 Saginaw combo got a 10-bolt early in the year, and a 12-bolt late in the year. I have a May built car with the original 12-bolt so I know it changed before then, but curious if yours is earlier than that.

The build date is June 06B, so later than yours. Kansas car.
