Caveat Emptor...block stamp

From the ad:

1969 Chevy Camaro REAL DEAL SS350 numbers matching rebuilt 350.

Pic of block stamping shows 19L525822 T0219HC

HC is an L65 350/2 barrel w/manual trans

Was not a Camaro SS.

Has a 6000 rpm redline tach and if original would denote a Z-28 or 396 L-78 solid lifter engine.

Added; dash cluster not trimmed for a clock.

Five leaf springs, could denote a big block? Seller does not show the firewall to see if it has a big block heater core. Also check for blacked out tail panel clues.

A little off course here.

The original, VIN-stamped block shows an HC code, 350 2-barrel carb. NOT an SS.

It appears the C was stamped later than the assy stamp judging by its depth. Do you suspect it could be a mistake or a restamp of some sort? I think it best to inspect this car in person.

Consignor has verified it is HC and removed Camaro SS references.

Hats off to Dean's Hot Rods!

Well, that's one in a row.
