Wally Booth's '67 Camaro L78 Convertible
Does anyone have more information on this car? Was this a one-off car in between his Chevelle and Rat Pak '68 1 Camaro? Lastly, has the car survived? This car was running at the Tulsa World Finals in '68.

My friend Sherman Gerlach and I talked about a lot of 67 L78 Camaro race cars but he never mentioned this car. Booth was born in West Virginia and Sherman knew him well. Booth is in the West Virginia Racers Hall of Fame.
Greg, did you and Sherman ever talk about this car? |
Midyr would be who I would ask.

I too have inquired the whereabouts of this car on multiple sites to no avail. This same car was raced with the name Bob Hall and also at one time Odus Rigsby on the front fenders. Would love to know if it still exists.

Richard, I don’t remember Sherman ever mentioning this car.

Ya know Greg this might be the white 67 4K convertible that Sherman told me about that is in WV now. Maybe Sherman didn’t know it was an ex Booth car.
He said it was a base SS white with black top car like this one. |

Otherwise - a very striking, clear photo from back in the day. K |
There is a Bob Hall from the Toronto area that used to drag cars. Wonder if it's the same person.
He is on F-book as "Bob Hall. Works at retired. Orchard Park Secondary School. Lives in Oshawa, Ontario." Pic of Bob standing near a white Harley and once on his page there's a pic of a mid-year Vette coupe drag car with Bob and Brenda Hall on the door. From an earlier post on this thread it appears this car did race in Canada so it could quite possibly be the same Bob Hall. From the picture posted, I would definitely say that's a rag top car. |
