Came across these paper photos I took @ a carshow in Warrenville Il. in August,of either 1983 or 1984.

"Mine was black on black with a white top. Because I planned on keeping it forever I restored it to Pewter Silver (72 GM color) with white stripes. Eventually after a number of years of enjoyment I sold it to finance an embroidery machine which started Jan's business and our relationship with Bloomington Gold which lasted 20 years. Someone on this sight posted a pic of it in pewter at Indy (had 8 inch knock off wheels and Goodyear Wingfoots on it.I have only ever seen one other Chevelle with that relay held on like that I can remember and I owned it. That car was the most heavily optioned SS 454/360 T-400 convertable I had ever seen....Bill S"

----Wow,,,Never seen these pics before. Thanks so much as it brings back really good memories. Lots of restos cause nothing but trouble. We all know that happens and yet still punish ourselves until the project is done. This SS was so "relatively" easy. I had all my buds at Classic Motors working right around me for a bit of moral support and all the stuff for the resto was close by. I even found an NOS front black carpet in the box....Bill S

99% certain I had my 73 Camaro entered at that show, too. Went to it for a number of years with the car club we were in at the time.

I think I have photos of your '73 camaro somewhere around here from that day too Bill. That Warrenville car show was on the corner of Rt.56 & Batavia Rd.,in front of our store back then....So many good people back there.
Funny how many times yours & my paths have crossed all around Chicagoland back then w/o ever bumping into eachother.
We didn't officially met till many years later when I brought my L-78 to the N.Aurora Island AutoDays Festival.
