Car Fraud Swede Ride Classics

Hey guys just wanted to put this out here. A good friend of mine thought he bought a 1967 corvette from a place called swede ride classics in Minnesota. His first mistake was buying the car sight unseen, 2nd mistake was paying for the car through a wire transfer @47K. The car never came, and the money is gone. I know it's a very stupid mistake he done but I know there's others out there that buy cars the same way. Just a heads up for those reading.
swederidsclassics.com. Have a great safe and Happy Memorial Day folks.

That is a shame. Failure to perform due diligence can be an expensive mistake. I searched it and found this statement from a permanently closed Swede Rides Customs & Classics...

DO NOT do business with anyone posing as our business. If you have recently looked at a car on swederidesclassics.com, quickly stop pursuing any further action. DO NOT provide financial or personal information to these people.

We at Swede Rides Customs & Classics wish you the best of luck in your searches and kindly request performing your due diligence before purchasing a vehicle over the internet.

Kind Regards,

The Team at Swede Rides Customs & Classics

Thanks for the follow up.
Right now, he has the bank trying to do a fraud deal and refund his money, but they told him it's a long shot. They told him to get the police involved and get a lawyer for this situation.

Sorry to hear of his loss, but in this day in age, I would kind of expect it. A STEALERship has a 1967 Vette for $47,000???? And one doesn't do his background checks????

This is a known issue with dirtbags doing this type of thing posing as "classic car" dealers using other dealers' pictures, information etc. A simple Google search and a phone call or two cold have nipped this issue in the bud.
Just plain common sense...
