Best brand and source for pistons

My L89 block is at the machine shop where it has been bored .030.

What pistons are you guys using for your restorations/rebuilds?
The machinist mentioned he uses Icon pistons and he would buy them “off the shelf”.

Assuming TRW pistons aren’t available any longer?
This is for my 1969 corvette L89 427/435

Thanks

Best is Gibtech and Probe billets. But just get a set of Malhe or Wiseco and you will be fine.

SpeedPro is what used to be TRW. They even have the same part numbers. I used Diamond in my 427.

Look at Icon for budget too

I usually use Racetec for those type of builds so I can get exactly what I want as far as size and dome.

My engine builder, Fulton Competition, used a set custom ordered Diamond pistons in my .070 over 427. They build 900 plus cubic inch engines with 3000 or more hp and uses Diamond pistons in most of them
