'63 Galaxie Post Sedan, G-Code 406-6bbl
Neat car with a great color combo and currently priced at $50k. The G code in the VIN confirms it was ordered with the 3x2bbl 406.

Looks like a pretty honest car. Gateway hasn’t done any work to show casting numbers on the heads or block to prove they’re 406 pieces. If the transmission is a Toploader (common upgrade) that would be a ‘64 transmission as all ‘63’s were fitted with T10s (although I’ve seen factory materials saying that the 3sp/OD was available with the 406-I don’t think I’ve seen one in person). Galaxie 500 post sedans are unusual-the non-hardtop roofline is usually seen in Custom 300 or Galaxie trim (easily identified by NO side trim, and a single lower side spear of side trim, respectively).

Very interesting that it went from a set price sales ad to a fishing expedition to see how much more they can get. Must have been reading forums and social media about how it was too reasonable...:rolleyes2:
