My friend Brian was bidding against this guy at the B-J auction. Lucky for both of them that Brian chose to tap out.

The hair on the back of my neck stood up when Jay tried to close that hood.

What I find peculiar about this episode is that there was no mention by the owner that he confirmed it was his original car by checking the VIN number to prove it was his. I also wonder if his car had the cross ram and hood in it at the time? Either way, very nice Camaro and the owner is happy to have it back.

Interesting the 302 emblem is missing from the sides of the cowl hood.

A Z/28-RS in that paint/trim combo is extremely unusual.

Don't know where they came up with 'Can-Am 302' for the air cleaner decal. The 302 engine was intended for the Trans-Am series. Not a production option, no air cleaner decal needed.

The believe hood is fiberglass..... not steel.

There was a discussion on that decal years ago and it was said to be a real Chevy decal but had nothing to do with a 1969 Camaro or a cross ram

The decal was used on a 1973 Chevrolet Firenza Can Am 302

one of 100 cars built in South Africa with a Chevy 302

the decal was on the fender

That looks exactly like it.
