67 rally sport headlights
 

Have a friend with a 67 rally sport replaced the parts headlights were working then one side stopped can't figure out what is wrong with it now anyone have any experience with them i did my 69 but they are vacuum advance

Check all the electrical (there’s more than 1) connections, especially ground wires, voltage at the limit switches, and voltage at the relays on the board.

If they were working before correctly, it could be a poor ground as mentioned. Every limit switch has a ground wire, 4 switches. Check at the side not working. The headlight door should open by hand gently even if the motor stopped working. The motors can be checked by disconnecting the electrical connection and checking with a 12 volt power supply. Positive to one part of the connector, negative to the other. If you reverse the polarity motor should turn opposite direction. I have some spare parts and rebuild original motors.
